Hypnotherapy is an educational and self-improvement process that facilitates access to your internal resources to assist you to solve problems, increase your motivation, or alter your behavior patterns to create positive change. Medical support hypnotherapy is used only as an adjunct to conventional medical treatment and any hypnotherapy is not a substitute for medical treatment or psychotherapy. As a hypnotherapist, Doctor Atoosa does not practice medicine or psychotherapy and her services are not a replacement for counseling, psychotherapy, psychiatric or medical treatment. No service or product she provides in her capacity as a hypnotherapist is intended to diagnose or treat any disease or illness, psychological, or mental health condition. You must stipulate that you are under the care of a physician or other health care provider for your medical and/or mental health conditions and that you understand that hypnotherapy is not a substitute for medical treatment or psychotherapy.

Payment Policies

Full payment is expected prior to the time of your appointment, per the terms of the service or program package you have selected.

We accept payment through HSA and FSA cards, credit cards, Zelle, Stripe, Venmo, CashApp, PayPal, cash, money order, or cashier’s check.

We do not bill insurance, but can provide upon request detailed insurance claims forms for services rendered that you can submit to your HSA, FSA, or insurance company for credit toward your deductible, maximum out-of-pocket expenses, or reimbursement. Please contact your HSA, FSA, or insurance provider with any questions about submitting your claims paperwork.

If your account is over 30-days past due, you will receive a letter stating that you have 10 days to pay your account in full. Partial payments will not be accepted unless otherwise negotiated. Please be aware that if a balance remains unpaid, we may refer your account to a collection agency.

cancellation Policies

Please notify Doctor Atoosa Kourosh 24-hours in advance of a set meeting if you need to cancel. Same-day cancellations will still be charged for the scheduled session.

Refund policies

If you are dissatisfied with your hypnotherapy sessions, a refund will be immediately provided. If you have a complaint about the facilitation process and it has not been satisfactorily resolved by Doctor Atoosa Kourosh, please feel free to contact the International Board of Hypnotherapy (IBH) at 2132 Osuna Rd. NE, Suite B, Albuquerque, NM 87113. Please note the IBH only accepts complaints in writing.
